Our Philosophy
At Griptic Climbing, we prioritise thoughtful design and quality materials to create products built to last. Every material is carefully chosen to ensure durability, performance, and a training experience that bridges the gap between the gym and real rock.
3d Prints - PETG
PETG offers a strong balance of tensile strength and impact resistance, with good layer adhesion, which is why it suits our functional prototypes and production runs. It allows tight tolerances on small features and survives repeated handling and loading during testing better than more brittle plastics. We use it to move fast from idea to field test, iterating on actual feedback.
Real Stone Granite
Granite is the benchmark for real rock texture. Its micro-roughness creates nuanced friction that demands precise force application and skin management. We work with granite to bring that outdoor-specific feel into a controlled training tool. It's dense, dimensionally stable, and wear-resistant, so the contact surface stays honest over time. Training on real stone helps you calibrate pressure, refine friction management, and carry that feel onto actual rock. Rugged by nature, but intentional by design.
Always Testing New Materials
We're always experimenting with new materials to refine feel and performance. We test, iterate, and validate on real climbing scenarios so we can understand friction, durability, and comfort. Some ideas won't make it past testing, but that's the point. It's careful exploration in service of better, more honest training.
